If I recall correctly, Dave left his show part-way into the 3rd season after agreeing to the massive payday.
However, I always wondered if he had to give back the money, or at least some of it, considering he ended up leaving before completing the season?
Anyone happen to know?

Nope He never took the 50 million.

He got to keep 8 of the 50 million, from what I read, for the episodes Comedy Central did get from the 3rd season (i.e. the "Lost Episodes")
