It seems to be trolling according to the commonly accepted definition of trolling on a public forum like this.
TROLLING: Making a deliberately provocative online post with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an emotional response from them.
So maybe, if you did not really think anyone would respond as stated in the definition above, then you aren't trolling, but if you did not realize you'd get these kinds of responses, then you were particularly absent minded.
