To those servers saying "we remember you" well congratulations. If I didn't give you a tip, and come back to poor service or you prioritizing other tables, I can ask for your manager and complain about your unprofessionalism. Maybe on my second visit I'd give a tip. But instead servers have a stupid sense of entitlement.

When you go to a restaurant that has servers, you are, in effect, hiring the person who waits on you.
1,000% wrong. I am not 'hiring that person'. That person already has a job and that job is serving food at a restaurant. That wait person is an employee of the restaurant, not the customer. To further expound on how ridiculous that statement is, when you go to a clothing store and a clerk helps you, are they working for you or the clothing store? Are you required to tip that person? No, you aren't just as you aren't required to tip employees of McDonalds or a custard stand or a bakery or a gas station. A tip is for service above and beyond, not for simply doing one's job. Let me give you another example:
One of the newer things at restaurants like in this movie are kiosks at the table. If I put my own drink and appetizer order in and all that person does is bring me the order, what am I tipping them for? Because they picked up a glass or a plate and brought it to me?
Also, with your attitude, I'd fire you as manager. Nice job chasing off revenue generating customers. You just proved yourself a wanker.
