    I get that Gibson is a filmmaker, but the historical inaccuracy in favor of emoting an emotional response is something that always annoys me.
    The Last Temptation of Christ
    shows a more historically accurate depiction of crucifixion, and it emotes just as much of an emotional response….

      "The Last Temptation of Christ" is a better movie period. It gives a likely view of how Christ probably truly lived.

          I dunno, Last Temptation covers some heavy subjects. The wedding at Cana where Christ turns water to wine was obviously his own wedding.

            It's a big "what if?" scenario, which gives it more freedom to branch out and explore other topics.
