Kind of surreal that Jim Caviezel was depicted as a "god" on "The Wonder Years."

I am referring to the episode [appropriately titled "Hero"] where Kevin Arnold kept fawning over his high school's star basketball player, Bobby Riddle… at least until Bobby missed the winning shot. In the empty gymnasium after the game, as everyone had left for the night, Kevin walked over to the players' bench where Bobby was sitting alone with his head down and positioned in a depressed state. Kevin offered some encouraging words, "You played great" and such, along with using the word "we" (the infamous sports spectator pronoun when rooting for a team; "we won" and so forth). Bobby completely disregarded Kevin with something along the lines of, "We? Get off my back, kid" and walked away. It's quite a breath of fresh air to see Jim Caviezel's career skyrocket within those 12 years from playing someone that, like a celebrity, was ignorantly admired, to playing the REAL "celebrity" who is admirable-worthy.

I find it odd when I see him in other movies where he is not typecast as being Christ like at all.
Like when he plays the heavy or a bad guy and ends up getting killed.
