Here's an article
(Yes, it has Instagram vids in it - everyone's favourite!) suggesting that another season (Or movie) with the Serenity crew could be on the cards.
It might just be a podcast or best of discussion, maybe even some sort of animated hijinks, but something is running and it's not from the Alliance
Whether Joss Whedon or Adam Baldwin will be part of it all is anyone's guess - but that'd be shiny!

He's got that touch of grey atop, but Jayne was always one of my favourite characters. I also liked Wash. River was fun to watch as well. She demonstrated the right amount of crazy and over the top brilliance.

Looking forward to some animated Firefly. I'm glad they're not going the live action route; I feel the show and movie already captured that magic. Let's see what they can do with animation.

That's an interesting question. If it were me, I'd have Book leave the ship and join the Abbey as he was in the movie. Maybe he'll just show up in a few guest appearances voiced by a guest actor.

I definitely think they'll be respectful about his passing in real life, be silly not to. Maybe letters or information about him without his ever appearing would be the way to keep him in the story but not central to the plots of whatever escapes they were up to
