Whenever I comment on a "classic comedy" that I didn't think was funny, people rip into me saying "LOL you need to get laid" or "you must be boring to hang out with!!!!"
Therefore, let me preface this by saying that I get laid a ton and party pretty hard into my mid-20s.
I just didn't like it. I didn't really laugh at the jokes.
Why is "You're my boy Blue" funny? Everybody seems to love that line. It just doesn't do anything for me. And Will Ferrell streaking? Eh. Again, not funny. These are things that I did in college. To see somebody older doing it is not funny to me.
I hated "The Hangover" too.
And its not just that I hate Todd Phillips' movies because I really, really enjoyed "School for Scoundrels."
Craig Kilborn was the funniest actor in this movie, IMO. I can't really think of any other "laugh out loud" moments.
Why people love this movie has always been a mystery to me. This and The Hangover.
That is all. -

Yes, he was foolish to think he had to prove himself. Especially to butthurt tools like you. He didn't like the movie. Get over it.

I agree with you. I didn't find this movie funny either. I do tons of crazy partying myself so I'm not uptight. And I like a variety of movies from the subtle humour to the lol ones but still I didn't find this funny. Maybe it's because I'm a 27 year old woman and not a mid-thirties man like the characters in the movie. I don't know. All I know is this one didn't amuse me.

You feel sorry for me because I don't have the same sense of humour as you do? People just happen to appreciate different things you know.

Yeah, I totally agree - people are missing out if they are not getting this movie.
I actually feel this is one of the last good "modern" comedies to emerge from the Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell, Owen/Luke Wilson, etc. group, and Todd Phillips last good movie. The hangover was REALLY contrived and the performances were extremely lackluster overall. Old School had some awesome comedy from both Ferrell and Vaughn. Some of the best lines are subtle and can be overlooked if you're not paying attention. "I built Speaker City from the ground up and I can barely read..truth."
Frankly, a lot of the thematic humor is VERY much based on the college experience, something many people may not be that in tuned with.
I would suggest all you that "don't get it" give it another chance. Sometimes with comedies you might not be in the right mood, I find. This film was definitely hilarious.

I can see why people may not find this move hilarious - but I find it very easy to watch!
And I find Vince Vaughn funny even when he's not trying to be? He's like my comic kryptonite, I can't help but laugh whenever he's on screen. And I don't know why, but the scenes where Will Ferrell is trying to give his wedding gift away never EVER fails to amuse me. It's just the awkwardness of it all. Awkward humour thumbs up -

The original poster is right.
If you think this movie is funny, then you'll laugh at anything. There was barely enough funny stuff to fill out the trailer for this film. Save yourself the money renting it (or the time it takes to download it) and just go laugh at a dog turd on your front lawn.
