    This remakes contrived silly ending ruined what little the film had going for it before. The original version was better, I don't remember it having that mixed communication nonsense where they really loved each other and the message didn't get to her. I think in the original, once she was back to civilization, where she didn't want to really go, she changed to her old privileged self again. He returned to an unhappy marriage. It was too late for him to get her back once he realized he wanted her and what he had lost. That had better impact IMO and was a better social comment on they're different classes. That is if my memory serves me wellif not thennever-mind.
