bleugggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! pass me a bucket
I agree totally 100%. I feel embarassed everytime I hear him say that line. Yes, it may be a "cute" line but it's
very
cringe worthy.
I wonder how many takes it took them both to do that scene without laughing their arses off and falling back out of the boat. lol -

The night after the debutante ball where the Ian performs in a band and Daphne's character is blamed for the chandelier crashing to the ground, Ian comes to pick Daphne up. Ian speaks with Daphne's dad for a short while and jokes that he is there to pick her up so they can elope. Daphne comes out and they hop on Ian's motorcycle and take off. Ian and Daphne are then in a small boat and he is helping her to try to learn some grace and balance. She asks how he knows so much about this and he admits that his mother was a deb and that he was sent to a lot of expensive schools, etc. Then, they both lose their balance and fall into the water.
It is AFTER they get back into the boat that Ian says, "Why are you trying so hard to fit in, when you were born to stand out?"
They kiss. -
