Finished Season 4 this weekend and now I'm 3 eps into Season 5.
Season 4 turned out to be a very good one.after I was not too thrilled after the first few eps.
Anthony Anderson was a pleasant suprise, nice to see him in a serious role. All other main actors did still a very good job too.
It's always a love-hate relationship with Shane. He f.ucks up so many times, but in the end he's still so loyal and a good friend (so far).Kudos to Walton Goggins for portraying him so well.
I never came to like Claudette.but it's the character which I don't like. Not CCH Pounder, she's acting very good, that's probably the reason I don't like her character.
I was pretty sure that Monica (Glenn Close) is going to get killed in the last scene by some offended community member or gang member. Or that she might commit suicide.well, I was wrong. Do we ever find out what will happen to her?
I can see why this season is seen as controversial, some scenes and lines are quite tough. But I think it's not meant to be racist just for the sake of it, it was to drive the story forwardand that was the characters ways to push the community and the gang members. Is it nice?.no. Should it be that way?.no. But does it really happen out there.for sure.
All in all another strong season. Now Kavanaugh made his entrance (portrayed by F. Whitaker, a very very good actor imo). Already looks like Lem's gonna be in deep trouble. Too bad, I really like his character more and more.

I hated the way they just wrote out Monica without fanfare. At the very least they could have invited her at that party in the last episode, after all the celebration was in no small part thanks to her, but no one at the party even asks about her.
They should have kept her into the next season as well. -

That would've been nice. I felt Glenn Close really fit in well with the rest of the cast. She brought some gravitas to her character, and for a while, I felt she could be strong enough to be the one to bring down Vic some how.
So many stories, so little time.
