I thought we weren't supposed to care about gender anymore.

What makes this trend worse is that these parties usually reveal the baby's sex with colors; blue for a boy, pink for a girl. Are we still not past that **** yet? Why are some people stuck in 1955?

Yeah, I don't remember them when I was a kid. It's kind of lame. Such a suburban yuppie thing to do. It's like those types got even more obsessed with the line between genders as society as a whole is moving past that. Even if I was a transphobe, it would seem lame to me.

It is lame, dangerous and costly:
An off-duty border patrol agent wanted an explosive gender reveal party for his family and friends, but he ended up igniting a wildfire that spread to Coronado National Forest in Arizona.
Dennis Dickey, 37, of Tucson, Arizona, has to pay more than $8 million in restitution, starting with a $100,000 initial payment and monthly payments thereafter, the Department of Justice said in a statement.
Dickey pleaded guilty Friday to a misdemeanor violation of US Forest Service regulations for igniting the Sawmill Fire, the statement said. He agreed to a sentence of five years of probation and will make a public service announcement with the Forest Service about the cause of the blaze.

It is the regressives of society, who throw around outdated labels like "male" gender or "female" gender, when in fact there is only one. We are all the same gender.

I think of humans as people. Their sex doesn't really enter into it.

Another excuse to get gifts, and get drunk.
