The only thing I hate about Samurai Jack…

There was never a proper ending to this series! Did Jack get Aku finally? Does he get to go home and live happily ever after? I hate when they cancel series.

I am sorry to burst your bubble. From what I've read the movie is not going to happen soon. Plus Genndy won't be working on it from what I read (do a Google search and read it). So even if it will get made it will not be to our liking.
The wiki for the show does bounce back and forth from like I had stated above to "something is going be done". It's too often that proposals for movies don't get done.

But time will tell, and let's hope Genndy (don't ask me to type his last name!) magically gets involved and some creative control. -

There are other posts, I may have written one myself in the past that I think satisfactorily answer those questions at least in my book. I find it in keeping with the themes of Samurai Jack that there never is an ultimate final battle. The point of being a Samurai, at least specifically for Jack is just about never giving up, always being true, fighting evil, being willing to sacrifice your life for to defeat it, and also really about being selfless.
It would be "nice" for us to have an ending where Aku is defeated and Jack goes back to the past, his kingdom restored to peace. But seriously, think about ALL of the episodes there is no MAJOR story arc; fighting Aku (all encompassing evil) and his minions, thats basically it. Each episode is (with the exception of a couple multiple episode story lines) a vignette of the trials and tribulations in the day of a samurai. So in the end, I am left wanting more, but am satisfied with that. Please feel free to debate. This show is a great platform for that.

So which is worse, a story which is left unfinished like Samurai Jack or a series which has an ending so confusing and/or stupid it casts a shadow on the rest of the greatness of the series (such as Big O - I'm still coughing up furballs on that ending)?
