Hello fellow IMDbers !
Since IMDb doesn't care anymore about what their users will do when this sites goes offline, several imdbers and me used our talents and created a discussion forum where all can join and participate, just like it was here.
We are open to all suggestions and everyone is invited !
https://www.imdforums.com
This is a real alternative for those who do not like to interact in facebook and want a real forum instead (like it was all along)
PD: It seems imdb is deleting my posts on facebook, they really don't want people to go anywhere after they close.

As I have mentioned in other threads, TMDb appears to be the only viable alternative if you are interested in boards devoted to individual movies, shows, and actors. They only recently re-instituted their boards for individual movies/shows/actors so right now the vast majority of their boards are empty. However the infrastructure is clearly already in place to initiate the same type of discussions that existed on IMDb.
I would urge everyone to go to TMDb and create an account. In the meantime, before it's too late, you should go to your IMDb account profile (move the pointer over your username in the upper right corner), go to the "Your Activity" page, and copy your own favorite message board posts, and be prepared to re-post those messages and/or restart those discussions at TMDb. (While you're at it, also download "Your Ratings" before IMDb comes up with some bright idea to sabotage that feature as well.)
You can view the ongoing discussion on how TMDb plans to take over the message board mantle from IMDb here:
