I keep seeing you guys say the show is horrible because its Australian humor and it doesn't work for the American version. Please give me an example of something that worked in the Australian version but not the American. I honestly don't see how you can find it unfunny.

I've only ever seen the US pilot but the immediate thing that struck me was that they didn't get the basics right - and you can't get more basic and essential to what makes the show funny than how the characters are portrayed - and the US version got this SO wrong.
For instance Kim came across as trashy and whiny - Kim's character is not those things.
Also the basis of the humour is that it is taking the piss out of ourselves. Australian (and British) humour is generally a lot more self-deprecating than US humour (at least as far as one can tell by watching tv shows the different cultures think are funny). So although the characters are exagerated, anyone can see a little something of themselves in them. So essentially we are laughing at ourselves.
