between this film and "Son of No One". Both stories of kids who lose a father and are stuck in a gritty-sh!tty urban situation but grow up to become cops, only to have to deal with some nasty detail from their past?
And when you look at casting, you've got DeNiro here with a promising Franko. In SONO you've got a Pacino doing A-list title card duties with an up-and-coming Channing Tatum. Connect the dots between DiNiro and Pacino, and it leads to Righteous Kill, another police suspense film about cops-with-issues just amusing stuff
