It started off rather well with Hirsch's and Cuthbert's characters playing on rather equal terms, and with a tounge-in-cheek good/bad guy performance by Olyphant, but then it switched to become one of those lazy "fraternity wet dream" movies, where the guy wins because "porn and stuff and money", and Cuthbert increasingly became just a sex object and backdrop for Hirsch's endeavours. A reflection of American culture at the time maybe?
