Musk called Unsworth a "pedo guy," short for pedophile, in a since-deleted tweet after the British diver appeared on CNN and called Musk and his companies efforts to build a submarine to assist in the rescue effort nothing more than a "PR stunt."
Musk's lawyers claim that "the public knew from the outset that Musk’s insults were not intended to be statements of fact." His team also claims Musk’s statements were "just imaginative attacks" and that "even if offensive, such speculative insults are by their nature opinion and protected by the First Amendment."
Story goes, Musk comes up with stupid plan that would never work to save kid trapped in cave, some diver criticizes the stupid plan, Musk calls this man a pedophile. This man is now suing Musk for $75,000 but Musk, a billionaire, doesn't want to pay. Elon Musk is kind of a dick.
