    Hi folks.
Was anyone else a bit disturbed by the ending of the episode "Substitute"? I thought it was very dark, but even more so 'unrealistic'. I can fully understand why the whole team basically wanted Stefan dead, and that it got personal with the involvement with Eve. But
But, they left two people on the scene, who they knew was involved in murder, identity theft, kidnapping, etc. Yet, they are the police. I just don't get this. Up until that point, I think they managed to stay relatively okay within the ethical frameworks you would expect from police officers. Sure, Boyd sometimes leave his ethics waiting just outside the interview room, but this was way too far.
Or, was it something about it all that I missed? Is it a common assumption they'd radio for armed backup and get back to those two?

      Hi,
I think maybe its because the case was tainted and no convictions could be made, which is why Stefan was allowed to leave in the first place(scene when Boyd burns evidence)so Boyd settled for a different justice, thats what i made of it anyway
Never interrupt your enemy while he's making a mistake. That's bad manners.

This was the first time I've watched the series or even heard of it. Thought it was a movie at first because of it's length. In my opinion the ending was weak. If they really wanted to catch Devlin they would have although Stefan got what he deserved. There were loopholes but I enjoyed it and hope to catch up on the series.
