"Pilot" parts 1 & 2 not available on Hulu…

In episode 1 on Hulu (Burn Out), Boyd finds the young woman torching a car, because she is obsessed with her father's death being considered an accident or suicide. He is leaving the church when he happens upon her, and had just lit a candle for his son, saying "happy birthday son, wherever you are."
In another post someone said that Boyd was married with a baby in the pilot, and this was changed later. I noticed on IMDB that there are parts 1 and 2 of an episode called "Pilot," which are not available on Hulu, where I just finished watching the entire series. Can anyone tell me if the Pilot episodes were particularly interesting (I felt the whole series really became better overall, a couple "iffy" episodes notwithstanding, as seasons progressed), and if so, where I might be able to see them in the states (online)?

It's not particularly good it has a very diffrent feel than the rest of the series and you're not missing much if you never get to see it. (I agree with you that WTD, like every series, takes a little time to hit its stride.)
It's always worth checking yt, just in case. And, my library (I'm in the US, too) has all seasons of WTD on DVD; check with your library system. (If your library doesn't have 'em, it might have an interlibrary-loan arrangement with other libraries.)
