Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled

I think Chris Angel did a decent job with Wishmaster 3 and 4. The Djinn showed great promise as a horror film character, he should be up there with Pinhead, Candyman etc.
If there was ever a horror series they could easily be rebooted it would be Wishmaster as there's no definitive Robert Englund style actor for fans to complain about being replaced.
When I was younger I was very overly critical of STV horror films, I've found myself revisiting them recently and enjoying them for what they are.

I'll have to disagree, Andrew Divoff as the Wishmaster is why I enjoyed the first two movies and his absence is why I didn't fully enjoy part 3 and 4. His voice and movements is what made the Wishmaster and totally would've been down for him joining the "Horror star club" that the likes of Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, and Tony Todd is apart of.
A boat that floats on water can also sink in it.

Lacking Andrew is exactly why the Wishmaster films went down. I agree the original Djinn from the first 2 was a horror icon. Andrew Divoff is the Wishmaster.

Part 3 nope but Part 4 yes.
Part 3 felt like cheapo BS with a lackluster plot and acting. The film as a whole was a failure defiantly the worst of the franchise.
Part 4 on the other hand was a major improvement over Part 3 and that's a surprise.I think Part 4 tried to do something new and fresh with the concept while it certainly has the common DTV low budget limitation but for what it was I respect it.

I thought the fourth one was a good deal of trashy low-rent fun. However, the third one sucks big ol' donkey dick and spits!
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
