Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Trigun

I want to watch this with my wife. Where can I find a version with no swearing, which is closer to Japanese, which has no swear words?

There is not that much swearing in Trigun, so you should be able to watch it with your wife anyways. Otherwise, Disney had not licenced it, so no matter where you look for, you will only find regular dialogues. But I cant really remember bad language in Trigun to be fair, so I am not sure what you are afraid of.

The worst I can remember is maybe "sh!t" in one episode.

I'd love to see you in the moonlight with your head thrown back and your body on fire.

To me, some of the violent content may be considered more offensive than some petty course language.

This is a really unusual request. Im trying to imagine what other things your wife has denied herself from watching. Dexter, Trublood, firefly, family guy, futurama, fringe, sopranos, Justified - without a doubt every single tarantino film. I wouldnt be looking for a version of trigun that had the swearing edited out. In 13 hours (14 and a half with the movie) there might just be a few minor utterances. I think bastard was used once. The whole result being a number that you can count on one hand. Theres more bad language in 13 seconds of deadwood.
I would seriously consider resolving the larger issue with your wife, I hope you dont think im imposing. Im not suggesting this to be offensive - Im just thinking about the sheer volume of pop cultural phenomenas that she is missing out on.
