    I am a writer and awhile back I tried to pitch trigun live action now this was a hard thing I had writen a script and it went nowhere its hard to pitch a movie to a manga and anime that you dont own to convince a studio to buy the rights to something was next to impossable and since I wanted to do 2-3 movie ark so it went nowhere I showed it to some friends who took it to WB And sony but as you can see.. I love trigun and have for years and would love to see a live action movie I was just curious to see who the fans would like to see in it.
    Vash-Neal McDonough from boomtown or Guy Pearce they pull off the blond hair
    Knives-Christian Bale, I know he is huge now but I loved him for years and I just want to see him play a insane guy again
    Meryl-Kate Backinsale, She is short and black hair and can hold her own with a lead actor
    Milly-Chyna, yeah I know but she is all I could think of she is big and soft spoken
    Wolfwood-Nathan Fillion, I loved him in Serenity and he looks like a touugh SOB
    Legato-Hayden Christensen, This was a hard one but after I saw him in life as a house with the blue hair I was sold.
    Chapel-Lance Henriksen or Sam Elliot
    This would be the main cast I had parts for the gun-ho guns but cant remember who I wanted if you want to play along throw out some names.

      That's a good list.
      However, I somehow picture Liv Tyler as Milly.

                  Here's my pick
                  Vash - Ryan Gosling . think of his character in "Stay" He can pull it off and he's got the look.
                  Knives - Hayden Christensen Vash and Knives need to at least look somewhat alikeand blonde.
                  Meryl - Natalie Portman She's a versatile actress, she can be cute and then kick some ass.
                  Milly - Liv Tyler No question about this.
                  WolfWood - Nathan Fillion His character in FireFly is evidence of this.
                  Legato - Christen Bale Go watch the Prestige.

                    No no no. This is all wrong. All the guys are too small.
                    Vash- Justin Hartley
                    Knives- Christian Bale
                    Wolfwood- Adrian Brody
                    Legato- Jake Gyllenhall
                    Millie- Caridee English
                    Meryl- Rachel McAdams
                    Rem- Liv Tyler
                    TADA!!!!! The best cast ever. The End.

                      John Cusack would be great as Wolfwood.

                        Vash = Toby McGuire
                        Knives = Leonardo Dicaprio
                        Wolfwood = Nathan Fillion
                        Legato = Johnny Depp
                        Millie = Stacy Keibler
                        Meryl = Rose Byrne
                        Rem = Natalie Portman
                        Johnny Depp could really play any role, which is why I would love to see him as the especially unique and sinister Legato.
                        Toby and Leo look enough alike, and I think that the would fit the roles really well. As long as Vash is kept as the goof ball and not uber-serious ala spider-man.
                        Natalie Portman: takes an angel to play an angel.
                        Rose Byrne: I though about Anne Hathaway too, but I think Rose would be great as sort of a pencil pusher forced out into the field.
                        Stacy Keibler: Millie was by far the hardest fit, but Stacy is 6' tall and she has a bubbly personality and can kick serious ass when needed.
                        Lastly Nathan Fillion: I personally don't think he looks the part completely, but if I can see him play any role similar to Mal i'm gonna jump at the chance.
                        P.s. This is clearly a dream cast and not one that I would think could ever be assembled, just who I picture in the roles.

                          I'm sorry MalRey_11, but that's possibly the worst cast thought of so far.

                                    I, too, would like to see a Trigun movie, but I would also like to direct it, and I won't be able to do that for several years, after I graduate. I don't think that your cast choices are the best, mainly because the actors are probably too old for the parts, I mean, at the oldest, most of the characters look to be in their late twenties. The way I had pictured it was to have two movies, like there were two series of manga, with the second one being more mature than the first. These are just some of my ideas, of course, but I am a bit of a perfectionist sometimes. By the way, can I read your script?

                                      No arguments here. It's hard to argue a cast really until after you see it happen. I mean, how many people out there bashed Raimi's pick of Tobey Maguire as Spidey, and then Tobey made the role his own? Perhaps the biggest casting call of Raimi's career. At this point I don't think I could picture anyone else as Peter Parker.
                                      The way I see it, a Trigun flick should go for a younger cast, preferably on the up-and-coming side of things.
                                      Anyway, here's a cast I could see.
                                      Vash - Justin Long (Live Free or Die Hard)
                                      (In the running: Heath Ledger, Ryan Gosling)
                                      Wolfwood - Hugh Jackman
                                      (In the running: Keanu Reeves)
                                      Knives - Shia LaBeouf. I can see some of you scratching your heads even now, but here's a guy that casts and crews love, a guy who will steal the show when he's onscreen. I think there's potential here for a fan favorite. I'd love to see Shia tackle a bad guy myself.
                                      (In the running: Hayden Christensen)
                                      These are the guys I would hit up for the three primary roles. I'm not so much on an opinion of the other characters. I'd love to see Johnny Depp as Legato or Jake Gyllenhaal as Midvalley, but those are as generic as they come as far as fan casting goes.
                                      Hey, come to think of it, Ryan Reynolds would make an interesting Midvalley.

                                        My husband and I were just talking about this subject last night after I watched the series for the first time. I loved it and have to admit to having a bit of a cartoon crush on Wolfwood. Here's the line up we came up with.
                                        Vash-Owen Wilson (that was my husband's pick.I don't see it. I like the idea of Heath Ledger though)
                                        Wolfwood-Alex O'LoughlinI also like Hugh Jackman
                                        Meryl-Selma Blair
                                        Milly-i don't think we decided on her yet
                                        Knives-I said Luke Wilson just to be funny, but really Christian Bale would be awesome
                                        I don't know really but I think someone should really try to get the idea going. It would be great to see it work out as long as they had a really good cast, writer, & director.
