Isn't this a public high school or is it a charter school of some sort? If it is a charter school, I would assume there were way more minorities at the school than were shown, I went to a "white" high school and we had more blacks and other minorities than in this movie. Also, he played football in high school, and seemed pretty good, but he wasn't good enough to play football at the Navy? I would think a star player from a big Los Angeles school would be able to play for the Navy. Pretty good movie overall though, but this part bugged me. I think they didn't focus on the football because they didn't want the element of recruiters and wanted him to go through the Congressman to get to Navy.
