While I think KD is a beautiful woman, I thought she looked absolutely terrible in this film. I know she was supposed to be a rebel and into drinking and drugs, but she looked just awful. She could have at least washed her hair at some point in the movie.

THANK YOU! I was crusing this board just looking for someone to comment on her hair. Kirsten is pretty but her hair in the movie made my head itchit looked so greasy! If I'm not mistaken, this isn't the first movie she's done with her hair like that. Yeah, she's a rebel but come onyou can be a clean rebel! If I had been her boyfriend I would have had to tell her to tangle some shampoo up in that mop or something.

Her character battled deep depression. When you have bad depression, it can get as bad as not wanting to shower, clean your hair, you give up on life pretty much let alone personal hygiene. they portrayed that well in her appearance. its not like Kerstin Dunst showed up to work everyday with greasy hair and no bra. There is this thing called makeup and wardrobe. In a film you go to make and wardrobe before every scene. They take pictures of you and what you're wearing, how your hair is styled (for continuity in case they need to film the same scene on a different day) If you think actors have anything to do with how they look in a film you're extremely wrong. They are basically a mannequin that the director and people involved in the film decide what they want them to look like at all times to portray the character they are filming. It still blows my mind people don't get this concept. Even if you dont know much about movies or behind the scenes and how they run. Whatever you see in a movie everythingthe director has the final say. So if an actor/actress looks a certain way ITS ON PURPOSE.

I totally agree. When you watch a movie, that's what you for, it's about the acting and the storyline. This is how Kirsten's character is supposed to be, it's how they wanted her to be. I think it totally looked great and she played the role amazingly.

Kirsten personally asked to not wear makeup or to wash her hair for the part. She tried to relate to the character and actually create a good character. She is no Selena Gomez or Megan Fox. She's not there to be pretty.

Now can anyone point me in the direction of the legendary cut and reshot nude scenes from Crazy Beautiful? Now that would be truely something to remember! Kirsten looks incredibly hot throughout this film and i love her short hair and rock chick style. She is the one for me.

Haha, that would be amazing! I guess it's not gonna happen though.
About Kirsten: she is an astonishing woman, but she looked horrible in this movie, because this was her role. But personally, she would have been a winner in my books, greasy hair or not. -

OMG, It's on WGN right now and i'm crying not because the story is incredibly sappy but because Kirsten is so freakin' ugly. She is such a beutiful being and this film she goes all out including her no bra rule, and minimal make-up. Kudos to the costume design department for their choice on Kirsten's clothes. I can't believe so many people discredit this wonderful sad, dark story. This is by far one of the best films in the teen genre.

Hello reviewers,
I saw this movie a number of times. First off i think is was a well made film. The good thing with this movie is the fact the that what issues of lifestlyes of some people can effect how the act and how they come across to others. I think Kirsten Dunst plays the role really well. It liked the fact thats a more serious role than in some of the other titles, also Jay Hernandez who plays carlos in this film shows a serious side to this acting. I also think if was good because it showed a different view of relationships where the man trys to keep a struggling women happy and helps where others deemed her as a lost cause. On a whole i think it was a refreshing movie and intresting to watch.
