This movie is seriously in my top 10, totally unironically. Sitting alongside such heavyweights as Lawrence of Arabia, Casablanca, 2001, Fight Club and Rear Window, my friends think I'm insane when I tell them this is one of my favorites.
and then they actually watch it. -

It is. Probably because even though the sarcastic and meta references are too on the nose sometimes. However, I love the movie and the fact that it was probably a lil bit too ahead of its time. Also RLC, I have a big crush on her haha

Totally agree. When it first came out I didn't care for it, thought it was pretty bad (granted I did love the soundtrack). Some point last year I happened to catch it on cable and was wowed at how amazing this movie was. I guess I wasn't old enough to appreciate the humor of it.

I own the DVD, I bought it when my local movie gallery was going out of business. 5 movies for like $20. Best decision I've ever made was to buy it. I occasionally lend it to 30 something moms to show their daughters how awesome life used to be. (In the town I was raised they usually had daughters 13+ so I geared it towards the right audience)
I seriously love this movie. Sometimes out of nowhere I proclaim "I wanna big Mac" but no one gets the reference -
