Once you got past the whole act of him trying to work out whether you're genuine or not he'd be an awesome guy to have around.
All those stories, the ability to find anything necessary out and sort out any trouble you might get into!

Also, his quality moral character and values would be excellent! Hopefully my future wife has an old-fashioned father (and mother for that matter) - yes, I do intend to get my future father-in-law's blessing before I get married.
