Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Urban Legends: Final Cut

    krissykins — 16 years ago(November 23, 2009 06:29 AM)

I was looking at BOX OFFICEMOJO.COM
Urban Legend grossed $72,500,000 back in 1998 at the worldwide box office.
With today's ticket prices, that would adjust to $111,000,000.
Urban Legends: Final Cut grossed $38,600,000 back in 2000 at the worldwide box office, that would adjust to $51,400,000 with todays prices.
This means the Urban Legend series grossed $162,400,000 at the worldwide box office, with todays prices. Pretty impressive.

Yeah, but Urban Legend 3 went straight to video, and it kinda sucked.

To be fair though, UL3 was done by an entirely different company and what not. Sony had nothing to do with it.

I don't think so. Ticket inflation means nothing.

It's all about profit, so you would have to inflate the cost of the movies as well..
