has to be one of the worst scenes of all-time (LOL)
the scenario (all the free cars, (WHY??)), the acting, and most of all - the song all beyond horrible -

I love this scene. Made me buy the track when i was 17 and made me buy the car when I was 21. It's one of the best scene's in the movie really show's you they are being looked after by the Skulls, which the scene was meant to show.

I actually thought that was one of the best scenes in the movie - sure hooked me in to see it when it was in the trailer.
I'm not pretending that the movie is a classic - it isn't. But it's still not too bad after the hype has gone away, at the very least fast paced and watchable. -

We were watching this last night and I went in the kitchen for something during this part and my wife had to rewind it because it was so over the top. Creed has to get most of the credit for making an otherwise average scene truly memorable.

I posted that comment a good few years back probably kind of a childish response, not seen the movie in awhile the scene your talking about is the one with the cars? what do you feel is over the top? They are rich and this actually does happen when you join clubs, but what I remember it was an elite group who had loads of money people within the society were big players in politics etc and all funded the secret society. They were being looked after, people who say the scene was over the top I don't think get the film.
But I will watch it again this week and see if I was just wow'ed by the cars and of course the awesome creed track. -

I wasnt trying to be a jerk to you, and you are right about the purpose of the scene, but everything is exaggerated in this movie and I thought this particular exaggeration was funny. Giving them all cars is cool; surprising them in the morning with all the different cars lined up is over the top. Using a soaring Creed track for the scene representing Lukes high point as a Skull pushed it so far over the top it almost came across as a late-nineties parody. In my opinion.
