    I wonder why the sequel didn't happen long ago. I know that Daryl Mitchell paralysis two years after the film's release and Alan Rickman's recent passing probably played a role in addition to Tim Allen's unavailability due to his Last Man Standing tv series. However I am curious to see how the amazon revival might have happened.

      I think that it's too late for a sequel. There was a 20 year gap between the two ID movies, we all know how that turned out. Hint: Not Well.
