      Technically there are at least 5 species who make up the Xindi.
      The aquatic ones look much more friendly

        True! I read a lot of people say Galaxy Quest is part of Star Trek canon because the bad guy is a Xindi.

          Galaxy Quest predates the appearance of the Xindi in Enterprise by about 3 years. So it's possible that some humour was used behind the scenes to have them look alike
          Or it could just have been a coincidental thing appropriate to what alien villains are meant to look like for the time of production.
          It would be nice if Seth MacFarlane did a Family Guy skit about it all, that would be apt and in fitting with his Orville show
