I only saw about 15 episodes of this series, since I was bored with the first episodes and missed out on some the better ones in the middle. The thing is, the last one I saw had Shao Kang capturing everybody else, and basically winning the war. Was this the last episode?
I know the series got killed, but I expected at least Kung lao to make it out alive. I mean, wasn't he supposed to be killed by Goro?
Please feel free to tell me if there was one more episode, and describe it in detail. -

Sorry dude but that last episode was the last episode. I think that they were planning to come back for another season but whether or not it was a definite thing was still up in the air. I guess the higher ups didn't really feel like bringing it back, which sucks because the whole cast was anxious to come back for another season. I have every episode on tape and the series was only getting better so yeah, it really sucks but that was all she wrote bub.
P.S. If it makes you feel any better, there was a rumour going around at the time that the entire final episode was supposed to have been a dream sequence and the next season was supposed to start with Kung Lao waking up from the nightmare. Don't know if that helps but that's what I know.

Have you heard any news about the final battle 2 movie, or is there no hope for us??
I'm sad now, realy sad. :o(

I actually thought the last episode was pretty cool, it was alot different to what i expected cause for a change the bad guys won. Even though you may think it sucks u gotta admit the last episode's storyline and fight scenes all kicked ass. I think its one of the better episodes of Mortal Kombat Conquest.

Well this was probably the worst television series I'd ever seen, but Bruce Locke who played Shang Tsung was really cool(I've seen him perform martial arts in real lifevery talented)..
In any case, to those who are confused about the story:
This series does NOT follow the time-line or the story of the video game. This show has little to do with that story at all. The ending of the series was contrary to the games but since it had nothing to do with them then its ok. In my opinion, the series was awful anyway. Sure, there were maybe a few good fight scenes in it, but it was probably one of the most unwatchable shows I've ever seen. Good riddance. -

Haha, you know what? I remember writing this over a decade ago. I was actually thinking of Daniel Bernhardt when I was talking about Bruce Lock playing Shang Tsung. Soyes, Locke was an awesome Shang, and I have seen Daniel Bernhardt perform martial arts in person.

seemed to follow pretty well from what i watched. knew it couldn't be the way it was suppose to end not only because of kung lao's death, but reptile and kitana's death as well. quan chi and shang tsung i knew could come back somehow they've been brought back enough times in the games.
i'm glad that i taped all the episodes but i wish it had continued. was looking forward to seeing smoke "even though he was not in his cyber form" -

A flat 25 for the five DVDs I've got of it. Actually, I have six, but I like the first one. 30 if you want that one as well, I think it was the best of the series, that includes postage. Email me or something for the UK, for outside of UK extra postage might be added. But yeah.
I watched the ending yesterday, and I was very disappointed. When Shang Tsung told Kung Lao he would defend earth realm, as "it has become my home," I was expecting him to join up with the goodies, and there would be an EPIC ASS battle at the end, where obviously good would triumph over evil.
How did it end? Bunch of people surround the three goodies. Raiden is brought before Shao Khan. He lists how all of them are dead. Raiden bows to him.
Forgive me for saying so, but WHAT THE HELL? It was too damn abrupt! There WAS no final battle! The fight with Raiden vs Shao Khan was pretty cool, given, but cmon, Kung Lao's been training his entire life for it, and he just gets killed without so much as raising a fist. The series was decent, the fight scenes were repetitive, the rampant lesbianism and playbot stars and people trying and failing like a man with no legs taking on a hurdle, really annoyed me after a while, but the series was solid, Paolo was great, Bernhardt even more so. It should have ended much more gloriously than it did.
I know it's cliche and stuff for the goodies to always win, if they'd have fought for their lives, it would have been ok, but the way it happened just really sucked, especially after the 6 DVD build up to it happening
It's like running a marathon and getting cramp in your leg 6 steps from the finish and dying from the shock
It was tragic. Funny how I watched Easy Rider just before it, and suffered a similar ending
Yesterday was just not a good day for plot. -

I also bought the DVD's. Never seen the series before but have seen the other films. This really sucked. The ending in particular Not because the evil wins and so forth, but if Shao Khan had the ability to send his immortals after all his enemies, why didn't he do it in the first episode. Like it is, there wasn't much point for the series, for Shao Khan only needed the portal open and he could kill anyone he wanted, so why wait an entire season for that.
By the way, Don't buy the DVD's. The episodes are in the wrong order and not all of them are on it, so it is very confusing to watch.
