Well, it was six months old after all, and it had been stored in a cool basement. Maybe that did something to the flesh in terms of drying it out. Or something. O.o I dunno. I'm not up on my corpse stuff.

If anything, the coolness and isolation would have preserved the body in excellent shape, I would think. But I am no expert either.
