This is my favorite movie. It's weird. I don't know why.
Actually, yes. Yes - I do know why.
This movie isn't that great, but that's what I think make it stand out. It's not some crazy high budget film with popular actors. They fit the part perfectly. And everything flows with ease.

It's one of my favorite films also. And no, it's not weirdit's a simple love story with a happy ending. Perfectly cast with appealing actors playing appealing characters, great cinematography & it doesn't become preachy or have an agenda. I know it will never happen, but I wish Jim Fall would make a sequil with further advertures of Gabe and Mark.

I'll have to agree. I fancy their relationship, but Fall needed to make a sequel long ago! If he made it now, it would be completely random. If only.
EDIT: He should make one anyways. For the heck of it.

That is a GREAT idea! I would love to see where Mark and Gabriel are today.

I LOVE this movie too! It's nice to see a gay movie without a bunch of gay drama and homophobia. It's a sweet love story! My favorite scene is when Gabriel is in the restroom and Coco Peru tells her story about meeting Mark for the first time! I laughed so hard I cried when I saw that! I saw it in the theater four times and bought it as soon as it came out on VHS, since I was too poor for DVDs then. A sequel would be awesome!

I agree. You know this movie isn't a masterpiece but it's still a nice, charming, cute, little movie nonetheless. Sweet. Particularly, the ending. Thought the ending shot captured it well how hazy, early, summer mornings in Manhattan feel like when your day is just beginning & the city is just starting to wake up & your day is already off to a great start. I also thought the movie depicted well how NYC is for those in their 20's, gay or straight. Did plenty of late diner eating with friends myself talking about nothing all the while apprehensive about the future and the prospect of growing old & not staying young forever. Very nostalgic to watch this now. I miss those days.
