I'm watching this on TV and I've never noticed on previous viewings that he buried the pilot with his belt on. Should have nabbed it, could be very handy.
Ok he could have taken the clothes too, but there's the guy's dignity to consider and also I don't think I'd want to see what was going on under them.
Forgive me if it's come up before, I'm sure it has.

Good point. Can't remember if the dead guy had a tie on, but that would be useful too. He took the shoes but they didn't fit.

He did have a tie on when he was in the hole too. Good call. Anything even remotely ropish or strappy would be worth having wouldn't it.

Haha, just re-watched this for the 3rd of fourth time today, and i was thinking the exact same thing. In a situation like that everything can be used, especially a leather belt.

Sure, but even at that stage he was still somewhat civilised so I'd say he would have considered the guy's dignity. Also as I said I'm not sure I'd want to see under his clothes in the softer parts of his decomposing body - and particularly in the undrpants area. That sh#t would stay with you.
