Was this extra dialogue or filler for the movie? My thought was Rob was recording the Piano Player's performance at that club because he called the store, any ideas?

There's a deleted scene on the DVD where an angry ex-wife is trying to sell a guy's extensive and valuable record collection for revenge. I believe that call was probably her.
In the deleted scene, Rob ultimately decided he can't go through with doing that to a fellow record-collector even though it was offered at some absurdly cheap price.
