wasnt there a banned scene of them lying in the middle of the road letting cars fly by them? i heard about it when the movie came out. i heard that a few weeks after it hit theaters they cut that scene due to bad publicity. anyone know if this is true and if so does anyone have this "deleted scene" ??

"The football movie that included that scene was "The Program." The scene was eventually deleted because some stupid-ass kids decided to imitate what they saw in the film. Guess what? They died because they were stupid, and all I can say is "good riddance." Why Touchstone (or whoever the distributor was) chose to excise the scene is beyond me; bastardizing a film in order to save the lives of morons who can't tell the difference between fiction and reality is incredibly stupid. If you're dumb enough to lie down in front of a speeding tractor-trailer, you deserve to die. beep 'em if they can't take a joke."
Total agreement but rememberTouchstone is part of Disney and Disney seems to immediately change anything in their movies if just one person is stupid and/or complains. They cut ONE LINE from a song in "Aladdin" because some Arab group complained! The line mentions cutting off a person's hand. Now that DID happen in the book "1001 Nights" (which "Aladdin" was taken from) but Disney just cut the line to make them happy. That's just utter stupidity. -

The only banned scene I know about is when a frustrated Jon Voight strides around the locker room naked, with whipped cream on his nipples, genitals and buttocks crevasse, yelling, "All right, you pussieseat me! Go ahead, EAT ME!"
It's included in the Deleted Scenes on the DVD. Voight was angry that it was deleted, and Hollywood insiders state that that scene alone could have garnered him an Oscar nomination. -

The infamous Voight scene is not on the dvd. I have a bootleg copy of the scene I got at a comic convention last june. Your rumors are not quite accurate. He is covered in honey, not whipped cream. He is frustrated and puts on a football helmet in the locker room and storms at Mox saying, "Here, give me the beeping oop de oop!" While slapping his own ass. The scene worked but it slowed down the picture.
I bought it for $10
