I swear to god….social media is evil. There's just way too many problems with social media. I don't like using social media at all and I hardly use social media myself or rely on social media for anything.

He's right. And the example there is not the same. That's an article. That would be libel.
Social media consists of people's thoughts and opinions: Facebook and Twitter comments and the like. Chatrooms.
Filmboards is social media, and no posts are fact-checked.
Has Itty's one eye ever been fact-checked? No.
Has Sophie's being 24 ever been fact-checked? No.
Has Gameboy's accusation of pedophilia ever been fact-checked? No.
Has Erica's high school basement team ever been fact-checked? No.
And so on and so on…
No claims made here are fact-checked.
There'd be no posts here. Social media is entertainment, not news.
        Never lose your desire.

Facebook is more than entertainment. It is a powerful marketing tool which has been used by politicians to deliberately spread false information, which has affected elections. Zuckerberg doesn't have to allow this, but he does so because he makes money doing it. Misinforming the public is not a moral stance.
