I would not personally call him a "nobody" but the media would if he wasn't married to Julia Roberts. She chose to have a private life with him and have children so he must experience some of the same stuff that William does in the movie.
This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!

Danny Moder works in the film industry already (cinematographer). He's familiar with the environment, the people, the hierarchy, the publicity, etc., for working on films himself.
