WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered "an influence campaign" in 2016 aimed at the U.S. presidential election with the goal of undermining the democratic process and denigrating Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, a new, declassified intelligence report said on Friday.
"We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump," the report said.
"We also assess Putin and the Russian Government aspired to help President-elect Trumps election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him," it said.

TRUMP warned us that this election was going to be rigged - he had inside information. Remember that? He warned us! The Republicans backed up his claim in August, September, Octoberall his followers were certain that this election was going to be rigged.

Just think of all the taxpayer money spent on Benghazi. . . .for political purposes, only. Clinton was cleared of any wrongdoing.
All those Republicans who were panting over Benghazi, a trumped up scandal, are now sitting back and looking the other way since the report on Russian hacking was released. I don't know how they sleep at night. -

She was not cleared at all! LOL Hester, do you know anything about what happened in Benghazi? If anything, the FBI suddenly made up new standards for Hillary alone, AFTER laying out a case that would have put anyone else behind bars.
When you have a lot of power in this country, like Hillary DID, you can get away with an awful lot. Those days for her are over.

Putin hacked the election by exposing democrats as cheating POS? If I had video of a husband/wife cheating, and showed it to the other. Would I be the cause of that marriage ending? Or would the one who cheated?
