When fans are expecting something and they will recieve something different its a certain death.
Phantom Menace was pioneer in this. Fans wanted more strormtroopers, more Empire, more Falcon
instead they gotand brace yourselves.original story
Prequels are great fun movies with amazing cinematography and artistic value
I value different opinions and respect them
But not in this caseWho says that Prequels are the worst movies ever are simply stupid ignorant and tasteless..

Yes, we cried out for an original story we got Phantom Menace.
We cried out for something more like ANH and got Force Awakens.
We can't win.
PM took a long time for me to fully realise the depth of the story (too long, you need to 'get' it on the second viewing, not ten years later).

HAHA You see I got it easier
I saw OT when I was 7 when 1997 VHS came out in my country FOR THE FIRST TIME..because communists
And Phantom Menace came out i 1999I was 9it is part of my childhoodjust like OT is childhood of many people before
Everyone from my generation that I know love all 6 SW movies
It was blast when we had our 12-hour marathon.
Phantom Menace will always be epic adventure full of beautiful environments, great SFX, cool action and fun story. -

these films were gonna get hit with hype backlash regardless of their overall narrative and technical quality.
True, but they didn't make them crap because they were going to be nerd raged. Quite the opposite.
the people who worked on these films did pour their heart, blood and soul into it, intending to make the greatest star wars movie ever.
