How long into the movie before you realized that Palpatine was actually Sidious, and was it written in such a way that most of the viewing audience would know that he was Sidious before he was revieled to be the Sith Lord to the Jedi?

Trailers. If this was supposed to be some kind of huge reveal it was an epic fail. Same thing with Padme. The thing with Princess whatsherface sneaking around as Padme was actually a little confusing because it was so stupid.
The movie was complete **** anyway. I was drunk and fell asleep during the 80 minute Senate scene where they discussed such exciting topics as trade routes. For 80 ****ing minutes.
The only thing that could have saved this mess was if they had actually revealed Jar Jar was a Sith Lord at the end, bumbling around disrupting everything on purpose. Now that would have been a reveal I never saw coming, even though all the clues were definitely there.
Bring. More. Sheep.
