Years ago, a friend and I decided to have a couple of beers, watch this movie, and make fun of it, MST3K style. In the middle of it, my friend actually came up with this great idea to make it more interesting: To make Godzilla more terrifying, take away his little raptor offspring from the movie and just shrink him down to human size. Turn the movie into more of slasher movie by having Godzilla attacking people when they least expect it. I.e, have one of the characters who was being chased get into a cab and thinking he's almost safe, tells the driver to step on it. But the cab driver turns to the character and reveals himself to be Godzilla who then proceeds to attack and kill the character.
