I just noticed that the Tanks they have in some of the shots are floating a little above the ground and you can see little dolly wheels under them. It's silly, but not important.
I've always liked this version, mainly I think because in a generally watchable cast Jean Reno and his fellow agents bring a little humour.
It's interesting reading the IMDb trivia how many have since apologised for the film. One of the things they regret is the rushed special effects which weren't helped by using the wrong type of film stock for release. But apparently this has been corrected since and I've always thought the film looks OK. I actually think it's the best of the recent American versions and remakes.
I have always depended on the kindness of Strangers - and the bastards let me down!
