I don't even know how I got through the first time I watched it back when it came out. But I don't really remember the details anymore so it's like watching it for the first time again.
I can't even get passed the part where he goes home with the hooker.

I understand the movie just fine. It's just kind of boring.
The husband was an asshole and so was his wife. He learned a lot about the sexuality of women that night. More than what he thought in the beginning. He told his wife that the sexuality of women was very different from men but it kind of really isn't when she is corrupted like the women he meets on that long night. He was lying to himself and to her.
Hence the title Eyes Wide Shut.
Anyway his wife was a ****ing bitch.

Yea, it is very sleepy like. If your not fully awake I can see this happening, let alone understanding the plot.

2001 is one of the hardest films for me to watch and try to stay awake. I had to try it three times.

I don't watch all of it. I pick up where Tom goes clubbing and the mansion party scene and sometimes his visit to the John Podesta character's house at the end.
