exactly what I was thinking. I didn't think Gangster Squad was that great, the set designs and costumes were spot on, but I don't remember being all that impressed with the movie. I'll prolly have to watch it again.
Mullholland Falls definitely had a noir feel to it, which added so much to the movie.

gangstar squad was pretty bad..just a regular bash the gangster story..looked like a poor remake of untouchables..
