First let me say I love Parker Posey, she's one of my favorite actresses and I think she pulled off the psychotic role of twin sister Jackie O perfectly!
The movie however sucked for so many other reasons.

    1. Tori Spelling? She can't act to save her life. It's actually like nails on a chalkboard watching her on screen. Just because you are the kid of a successful person in Hollywood doesn't mean you can act and Tori is proof of this.
    2. Freddie Prinze Jr.? Another horrible actor who clearly is only in the business because of his family name.
    3. How does this family have so much money? They live in the same neighborhood as the Kennedys? Give me a break! If the father was that rich and disappeared he would be found because they could just follow the money. A rich man doesn't just disappear and no one cares. Totally unbelievable!
    4. What's with the house being a replica of the White House? Are we to believe the parents built that for their crazy daughter?
    5. You see your fiance having sex with his sister but instead of busting in and confronting them you just go back upstairs and have sex with his dim-witted brother. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ok sure, right. WHATEVER!
    6. Doesn't everyone with crazy family members in the house keep firearms and bullets laying around? Yeah right..
    7. They don't give enough of a back story on this family. Some see this as "artsy" I think it's just downright lazy! They throw a few morsels out there and we have to piece it together? I'm not asking for a road map but surely they could have given us more than they did as the movie wasn't that long. Although my my suspicion is they knew they couldn't hold the audience interest in this bat sh!t crazy family any longer.
I could go on but that's enough to make my point. I had high hopes for this movie because I adore Parker Posey but good lord it was so bad I had a hard time sitting through to the end. I gave it a 4 star rating and that's only because Parker did a fantastic job in her role. Otherwise it wouldn't even deserve 1 star.

      1. Just because the audience isn't informed doesn't mean it's impossible.
      2. Because America.
They throw a few morsels out there and we have to piece it together?
This is a fun film but in no way a philosophical piece. There isn't that much to think about.
        We've met before, haven't we?
