One thing I remember about this miniseries (which I haven't seen since it first aired on TV) was the background melody of the song "Almonds and Raisins" playing, while Jewish orphan children were shown hiding from the Nazis. "Almonds and Raisins" is an old Yiddish lullaby that is sung to little children by their parents.
