Hmm If she had been, say, 10 years younger, I would have suggested Michelle Trachtenberg. Lucy Hale is probably also a bit too old. But right now I can't think of anyone else. It's a difficult question, really.

You do realize they're both in their mid-20s, right? A little old to be playing a teenager, and if you want to be genuinely faithful to the play, only a 13 year old at that.

Michelle Trachtenberg as Juliet? No. No. No. She isn't a good enough actress to pull that kind of part off.
I just watched the live broadcast with Richard Madden and Lily James. They were excellent.
