I'd say it is. But have you seen any of the previous Children of the Corn's?
I would say it's better than part 1 & 3, but not better than 2.

I have seen 1, 2,3 and 7 and thought 3 was the best!

knock yourself out! I bought it based on the fact that Karen Black and Naomi Watts is in it. It is cheesy, but not incredibly bad. I like it better than any of the other sequels.

"The Gathering" is my favorite of the sequels. I thought it was better than 2, 3 and 5. Part 5 was okay, but not as much as 4. As for 6, I haven't seen the whole thing and I wasn't even aware of a part 7.

I've seen every children of the corn except 7I can't find it anywhere so I guess I'll be buying it online soon (would have to anyway, horror movie collector).I think 2 was the best one made, but 4 has to be my favoriteI think 3 was just funny, if you freeze frame it 1 is funny as hell especially when you freeze frame it when the boy gets hit by the car in the beginningbut 4 had old school horror movie traits with some interesting qualities, but honestly none of them are scarythey wouldn't even be scary if you were living them.

IV may actually be my favorite movie, period. When I had it, I watched it all the time, but I los it a while back. I'm currently trying to find it. Oh and I read a review about the original and the writer said Malachai was the "creepiest Huck Finn look-alike you ever did see". LOL

I seen 7 and it is the worst out of the series, in my opinion.

A friend has loaned me all of the cotc films (does that make him a friend or an enemy) and I am slowly making my way through them. The only reason I was interested in watching them was because I remembered seeing the first one years ago. But after watching that last week I remembered that it was crap, and so have most of the other been so far. I got around to watching number 4 last night and I thought it was quite a good film, and I think that if it didn't have the association with this franchise (as it has nothing to do with the other films) it could have been a better and maybe more popular film. I would reccomend this film to people. OK it's not the best film ever made, but it is enjoyable and the time passes quickly enough while wathcing it.

Part 4 is actually the best of the sequels, and in some respects is better than the original movie. A very creepy, tense atmosphere and some pretty good pacing. Very good horror film.

I saw this on a late night movie channel when I was younger, and had no idea of it's title or that it was a children of the corn sequel at the time. I just remember being generally creeped out by several of the scenes and I spent years trying to describe it to people and find out what it was (This was pre-internet days when research was a tad bit harder)
I must have looked at the cover of COTC4 numerous times and never second guessed that this was the film I was looking for. But then a few years back I found it at last and oddly found that I was just as creeped out by it now as I was back then.
Honestly, I think it's almost like the later Hellraiser films, they could all stand alone, but seem forced to be part of the series. Perhaps it wasn't intended to be a corn film until a later draft or something along the lines to tie it in closer to the series?
Either way, I enjoyed it for what it was, and nothing will ever take away the kind of fear a kid has of living right across the street from a corn field and leaping startled at the sounds of random door bells ringing, hoping to god a creepy kid isn't going to be standing on the other side
