I think what made Aftershocks better was the laughs.
There were so many funny parts, what are your favs?
Mine is definitely
"What does this do to your disposition?"
(Graboid-radar beeping hysterically)
And when the graboid was approaching from underground with the Spanish song playing from the radio in its stomach. -

There were so many funny moments, but I think this is the one I laughed the hardest at:
"I think the funniest part is when we hear Bert's truck coming back and then we see it's all ripped up and has Tremor guts everywhere."
And then his speech about being denied criticalneed-to-knowinformation!

The part after they're dragged in the truck by the Graboid and then Grady says "That's going to be the first ride in my park!"

The part where Padro's truck is attacked by the monsters (but we dont know it yet). It goes like this:
Grady: Maybe he's just taking a leak? (Which means pissing)
[30 minutes later]
Earl: Well, thats a lonngggg leak.
Grady: Sh!t man, what has he been drinkin??
That part just cracks me up! And also the scene were they hear the mexican music playing from underground, and Earl is just like "what the hell is that?!" Then, whats even funnier, is when Grady says "heyI know that song!!!" and starts humming to it! That is genius!
The entire movie is hilarious. Possibly funnier than the first movie
